Joel Overbeck
I had been playing with a character for a couple of weeks, adding mods as they interested me and seemed to be compatible with OOO, until some days ago I added Stealth Overhaul, Unique Landscapes, Natural Interiors and some more. Suddenly, my save games don't load. They either freeze at the beginning of the loading bar or at the middle. If I am playing fullscreen, I can't quit Oblivion without restarting my laptop. When playing in windowed mode, I can force the program to end. I tried to activate the mods I used before I installed the new ones, but the old save games won't load. I tried to load in interiors and exteriors, but it doesn't make a difference. I started a new game both with the mods I had active at the time and with every mod I downloaded, and in both times it started with no problems. I browsed the web to find a solution, but I haven't found one. Is there a way to avoid starting again? I obviously don't want to throw away my character. Should I try using Wrye Bash? Which feature should I tinker with? Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you for your help. I'm quite lost in this one.
Aliro
OOO tends to be very touchy about where in your load order it is placed. It is very possible that you are loading mods in a way that OOO does not like. Try using one of the sites that talk about load order (like http://devnull.devakm.googlepages.com/loadorder) and see if that helps. --Aliro
