First Person Camera View Too High

Hi, I recently started a new game with a previous mod list that I'd never had any major problems with on my last playthrough. This time however, deadly reflex 6 caused my first person camera height to tower over doors and other npcs, so i removed this mod and the problem was gone. It was one of my favorites but every reinstall gave me the same problem, so I transitioned to Unnecessary Violence III - Critical Mess instead, it's newer anyway so I figured I should probably have switched already. This mod is giving me the same problem though, and it makes the game relatively unplayable. I have tried setscale but it doesn't properly fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Edit: I have deleted every mesh in the first person folder but the UVIII skeleton.nif. Seems to have fixed the problem

If I recall correctly, what these 2 mods have in common is a so-called "fake 1st person" view, that is it's using a special skeleton and special matching animations to go with it.

Now if even one of the animations in your folders, or the skeletons you use, do not match, as soon as it plays it will offset the camera in that way.

If you look at the mod "3rd Person Animations in 1st Person View", you'll see a similar thing. For a long time most other such mods even used the same skeleton and animations to that effect. If using that mod and there's even only 1 single "true" 1st person animation left in the folder, then these things will happen when it plays.

The comment sections of these mods, however, are filled to the brim with reports of just this and the solutions. You should be able to find what exactly you need to do on their mod pages without too much trouble.

edit: Or somebody else chimes in here who knows it instead.

Thank you, I've looked and looked, and seen reports, but there is no helpful advice on how to tell which animations are which and how to fix it. I've reinstalled it a million times and just can't figure out what's wjat. I don't think I have any other mods that change first person animations, so It should be fine, but it isn't. I'm sorry for not specifying, but I'm just an idiot in need of a very concise walk through, if anyone can give it.
