Beriallord
I've been waiting since release date for a fix to this, any updates/solutions to this?
rbfqueen
They've added Crossfire support for the 6000s, yes, http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article/2011/11/28/skyrim_amd_crossfirex_performance_iq_review Other than that, not sure what fix you're looking for. I have two 6950's and get about 60 fps everywhere with Xfire off, and 40-25 fps everywhere with it on. Make any sense to you, because it doesn't to me... ProjectVRD
No fix yet, AMD announced they are working with Bethesda on a fix. As are nVidia. I was only saying last week that Bethesda needed to hurry up and get in on the act because it was their code that was causing the problem. We can probably expect an update to the Skyrim from Bethesda which allows for more than one GPU, and in tandem we will see an update from AMD/nVidia for their cards. Preferably AMD/nVidia would say "no way, it is your game you should have had it done from the beginning... we are sick of fixing everybodies game all the time". But that will not likely happen. It is likely what is happening now, as we speak in fact, is that both nVidia and AMD have sent respresentatives to their offices to show them how to code in CUDA and STREAM... given the fact that this is technically the first ever game where card manufacturers and game developers are working together (let's be honest, this had to happen because of the issue's surrounding the performance for this particular game) don't be suprised that the fix becomes one of the most efficient in gaming as far as scaling goes. Game engine creators and card developers working together to sort out the problem? That is some pretty serious knowledge sharing going on there, Bethesda are probably in a position to become to pre-eminent experts for CUDA and STREAM implementation for gaming. They are getting time with the manufacturers themselves and as such will have detail of the inner workings of Crossfire/SLi that only Berkely University currently have... AMD and nVidia sent representatives there to help scale their cards. The result was a pretty crazy 95>% scaling efficiency over FOUR GPU's. Currently the best scaling games is about 50% for two GPU's and that drops when you add more and more cards.
