Frustraited beginner.

Hi there. I am completely new to using mods. I have spent the past week reading tons of mods and picking ones I would like to use. I've extracted the ones I want to use, along with downloading and extracting any mods that are required to use the ones I want. I have copied everything into my override folder. Is there something else I need to be doing because NOTHING works. I am so frustrated. A lot of the installation instructions for these mods are not beginner friendly. A mod I want might say, simply download and extract into your over ride folder, nothing else required. I do that and nothing works.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

edit: For an example..I'd like to use the Beautiful People Hair REN mod. I have an empty override folder, no mods. How do I get the damn mod to work? lol. Thank you!

1. Profanity in a request for help is seldom a good idea.

 

2. The specific mod you named has very different instructions than simply "put in override folder".

 

INSTALL:

=====================

 

1) Extract this zip file.

 

2) Copy the folders to your Override folder.

 

* default Override folder : My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

 

3) You will find chargenmorphcfg.xml file. this file is IN Misc.erf or other MOD, etc.

 

* chargenmorphcfg.xml is No Misc.erf. *

* I did not tell you to use RENAMED. *

* Misc.erf file is packed file. So, it is unpacked using ErfEditor *

 

4) Copy 'Make_chargenmorphcfg.exe' and 'chargenmorphcfg.xml' to Override's same folder.

 

5) Run 'Make_chargenmorphcfg.exe' <<<<
