mkr1977
When you get to the insitute, you find that the institute has been conducting agricutural experiments, presumably to increase yield and help crops to grow in the irradiated environment above ground (perhaps the crops even eat up rads). However you don't get the opportunity to get these crops and use them in your settlements. To that end, I have a mod request. After you complete the Building a Better Crop institute side quest, you are approached by an NPC that is frustrated that the crops that he has been working on are not being put to use in the wasteland. He offers to sell you the seeds to create the crops in your own settlements because his research is currently not funded and he has to use his own money to continue this side project. In effect, he is selling seeds that can plant any normal crop in the game, except that his seeds make crops that are double yield (in the workshop only). For example, in the workshop the normal mutfruit produces 1 food, his will produce 2, and so on. However, the seed crop that he is selling to you are a variant of terminator seed crops, and in this instance while the yield is double in the workshop, the (for example) mutfruit that you harvest are normal mutfruit and if replanted produce only normal mutfruit (this means that you have to buy from him if you want the high yield crops - you spend money for better production and efficiency, and thus preserve game balance). The in-game reason for the terminator seeds is that the Institute does not want its technology to fall into the wrong hands, which could mean anyone above ground.
