OK, I don't know if this kind of thing will become obsolete once the CK is released tomorrow (or will it? :ninja:), but I wanted to share a quick and easy way to convert audio files to .xwm format, for use in Skyrim modding. Here you go! -

I tried it using Wavepad from NCH Softwares and it didn't save it as .xwm even though thats how i typed the name in. So if anyone else looked at this tutorial , i realy recommend downloading Audacity which is exactly what RitchieTheMerc used in his tutorial.

I downloaded it and it worked perfectly fine. And it's a free software so there is no reason not to hehe.

Now i'm gonna go and add some more EPIC music into my battles against dragons lol.

Thanks again for sharing this Ritchie.

Well, even though i can convert music files to .xwm , when i try to apply them to the game, it makes my game crash.

I tried changing a few of the songs from the dragons battle music to other songs i had converted using your technique and i realy did rename the file with the proper file name that i wanted to replace and i installed the songs using the exact same path as the song file i was trying to replace but when the song is about to play, my game crashes.

One other thing i noticed is that converting music files into .xwm is basicly making the file almost 4 times bigger in size. I mostly used .mp3 files and converted them to .xwm which realy converts them to .wav but pretends to be .xwm and i'm ending up with files that are over 20 MB in size.

So anyways , i'm gonna call it quits for now , i'm gonna leave that to the real experienced modders who know what they're doing , i'm not ready for that i guess.

Still i appreciate that you shared the tutorial but it simply doesn't work for me .
