[LE] Marriage/Custom Spouse House help

I have created a custom marriable follower and given them their own house. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find how to make the option "Living with you" result in their personal house becoming shared like Ysolda or Balimund. Nor can I seem to find any help with google. I admit that might just be severe failures in my google-fu, but I've been looking for a week. Can anyone help a very new modder with this?

Are you using Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions? That is the standard accompanying mod needed to set up a custom house mod suitable for marriage partner. The mod has a spell the player casts in the home which makes the home compatible for spouse and kids. Now if you don't want to make the home compatible for adoption too, I believe you have to use one of the follower mods but they don't provide the sandboxing options you get with this mod (or what the vanilla game offers).

I really don't want to use a different mod to do this. I wouldn't have posted otherwise, to be honest. I want to do what happens when you marry Ysolda or Balimund without owning another home, in my mod.

 

ETA: I may not have been clear above. I want the NPC to own the house, until you marry them.

Then it may be helpful for you to dig in to the mod I linked to see if you can figure it out. There are detailed instructions how to set up your cell (mostly for kids, but also affecting spouse). It may require scripting, not sure.

 

I believe if you do this yourself rather than relying on this mod, then your mod may conflict with this mod and I can tell you that this mod is heavily used by people who like to play with house mods, all of whom may have multiple house mods installed. That being the possibility, your mod may have less appeal if it conflicts with this mod.

This is a personal mod, I had no intention of uploading my first! I thought I'd looked for instructions there, I apologize.

 

Okay. Still doesn't do what I want. As I thought. Thanks though. (This isn't meant to start out as a player-home!)

I have done more digging. What I want to do is select "living with you would be perfect" when the spouse first asks me where to live in the temple, and have the quest marker point me to the custom home and complete the quest. It looks like I need to somehow get it to add the appropriate alias to that house. But I'm not sure how to do that.
