CyphasCain
Hey guys, I've been playing with the idea of adding drivable vehicles into FO:NV.I know of the Bike mod but bikes arn't my thing and i like the idea of running around in armour plated dune buggy or armour plated USMC troop truck...... Hell even an armour plated bus.So far i have a dune buggy i wrangled out of a buddy and have started to add details to it (Will post pics at end of post ((Stage Picks)) Was wondering if anyone can point me to some tut's for adding a vehicle (Rigging, setting controls etc)Or if someone with the experience would be willing to help me out with it, i would be gretful for that too. All my models are created in 3DS Max 2010. Textured in GIMP. I also have G.E.C.K Let me know if you think my idea is doable Cyphas Cain Buggy w/ (Untextured) Armour plating

NaboeN
I don't wanna cry wolf over here, but after spending X amounts in gmod, please use a different buggy, that one is from Half-Life and we're not that excited about ports here :pirate:

I will start new but i might use the framework as a basis for a new version. Save some time. BelgarionNL Posted Yesterday, 08:30 PMholy crap I would reinstall FO NV for that! but only if you get it to drive properly ofc Thanks for that, if you know anyone who can give me some pointers as to getting it to work properly i would be greatful. CyphasCain
ok here is an improved buggy without the plating. It uses the buggy from before but it has been stripped down to its components and rebuilt to look sleek and lower. yes i know it doesn't change the fact that its from HL, But i have manipulated and deleted as many identifying features as i can without taking away it's look.So i hope you can forgive me for that. Hyoukage
Finally! Someone had an idea other than a motorbike!!! Yes, please, for the love of all things nuclear, DO IT! Perhaps rework the framing a bit more... pull the upper "roof" section off... add a "door" frame instead...As for plating... scrap metal sheets, repainted... something that says "I run across all of post-apocalypse America for breakfast!" Like a Deathclaw skull, or a Brahmin skull, on the hood section. A hood-mounted .50 Machine Gun, or (if you plan on making the Lonesome Road DLC a master, too) a Red Glare launcher battery. As for the tires... salvaged tires are a too common fix... perhaps a resized treadplate loop around recovered tire rims? Better grip, even if it throws stealth out the window when ya hit concrete or pavement.
