greentea101
The ground textures load too slowly. It's so bad that I can often walk on the LOD texture before the normal one is displayed. This problem started a few patches ago, maybe at 1.3, I don't remember exactly. I've tried reinstalling, and playing with no mods, and with default ini files. No luck. The game loads from an Intel 320 Series SSD, but I've also tried moving it to my hard disks (two Caviar Blue drives in striped volume configuration). Any idea what's causing it, and how it can be fixed? Edit: After I posted this, I made one last Google search, and found the problem. It was because I had set the timescale to 1. I have now set it to 10, and the problem disappeared. Hope this is useful to someone. Edited February 7, 2012 by greentea101
STE41k
I was also having this problems with Fallout new Vegas. But did not want to give up on a 1:1 timescale so I look at the .ini to see if there was anything that might fix this. I found this setting fLandLOFadeSeconds=15 that is half the default timescale so I set it to 0.5 and the textures stated working. So this might be a fix for this and people can keep the 1:1 timescale. I have not confirmed this yet so any one having this problem let us know if this fixed it and let you keep the 1:1 timescale.
