Kresselack
What colour should the shield be? I was thinking of something like solid copper, or steel with a red emblem.
DogtoothCG
to import into 3ds max, you open the mesh in nifskope click export as obj then open up 3dsmax 5-8 work with oblivion, click import, find your file, select it and press ok, then its in 3ds max
Triforce1
Ummm...My Max is version 9...and also, how do you work with objects? I tried adding textures to the buildings I put in, but it didn't work. All I could do with the objects was move them around. Is there any way to "unlock" them so that I can do whatever I want with them?
DogtoothCG
they are already unlocked, when you add the texture to the object, you can either press F9 to render it, or you can press this little blue square on the material editor and that will make them show. and to edit them, just go to the "modify" option by where it says box, cone, tube, etc.
Triforce1
What I meant about trying to do anything was that when I ried those very things you were talking about, a little red circle with a line through it showed up over my mouse, and I could not do it. I think 3ds Max 2008 has a thing against Oblivion.
DogtoothCG
hmm that sounds wierd, i've never come across anything like that before, can you post a screen shot of it?
thking9794
For the color, i think it should be steel (whitish), with a red border and emblem, that would be awesome
thking9794
I think I found the solution to our problems ;D
thking9794
You can thank LHammonds for that one, i looked at his profile, clicked on images, and-"woah, is that the shield we have been talking about?" It says it is a WIP on his profile
thking9794
I guess this adds another solution to the topic i started about imperial dragon shields, and adds a solution to this one. One thing i don't like is that the pic was dated 2007, and it's 2008 now. The shield looked finished, so why didn't he release it? Did he abandon the project?
