Werne
Ugh, got the same problem. Unlike the OP I've got a legal copy of Skyrim and I downloaded CK from steam (steam is updating itself right now so I've got time to ask for help). The same error message and although I already verified the integrity it's still not working :wallbash:. First it took 2 hours for CK to actually appear in tools (I was furious) and now it doesn't work. *sigh* and then people ask me why I hate steam . Werne
@Zeckes I really don't understand what are you trying to say o_O. I downloaded Skyrim from steam, it's the legal way just like retail. OP is Original Poster, he got banned for piracy several posts back.
bamfigms
My steam never does anything. It never updates. Its like.... I have this amazing thing that I call Skyrim. But it has this thing attached to it that messes everything up.Steam is like Skyrim cancer.
ProjectVRD
When looking at "Creation Kit" in the list of installed tools, right-click on it....you will see "Properties" EDIT: Now that TK pointed it out...I am curious as to what instructions you are talking about too. You shouldn't have even needed to see an EXE file. It is all handled inside Steam. I didn't download it from Steam. I downloaded CK from torrents :P. Mine is a standalone installation of Skyrim. You realize there is no stand alone skyrim correct? You are soon to meet the ban hammer... I have a non-steam version of Skyrim, and I just downloaded a non-steam version of CK. Let's just leave it at that =/ Pirates are not welcome here. Goodbye.-DrGrimm can see this guys installation going horribly wrong somehow and then he will come back blaming Steam, despite bypassing it. This somehow comes to mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8szWccJvb4 Edited February 7, 2012 by ProjectVRD
bamfigms
After the second uninstall and reinstall I got it to work. Not exactly sure why that finally did it, but hopefully if anyone else is having trouble that will help them out :)
