Fallout 4's ending

I just read a piece about the actual ending of Fallout 4. I will not reveal what I found out as I will not ruin it for anyone else. It is ruined for me but not because I found out how it ended but the way in which it ended.

It saddened me so much that I will not play the game to the end. I will continue to play it up to a point but beyond that I will restart a new character.

I really thought Bethesda was above this kind of ending.

Sad.

Hmm, well, it's a bit hard to guess exactly what about it you mean. There are at least half a dozen different aspects of the ending that different people have been complaining about to different extents.

Personally my "favourite" is the ending movie. If you thought whatever choices you had to make leave a bad taste, wait until you see what ending movie you get for your efforts. It doesn't even make any SENSE. It's like someone just tried to shoehorn in saying that war never changes, but it's almost like they recorded that for a different game and then made FO4 instead. The only insight I was left with at the end of it was that some people at Bethesda are on some really good stuff, and I want the number of their dealer.

Now mind you, I like the game on the whole, and I like the endings to the DLCs at least. But yeah, I tend to skip the actual end when I replay these days.

I like that the end is not the end as in previous games. I put off the main quest in early playthroughs but now I tend to get that part out of the way before doing the DLC's and other side quests.

Nuka World Cage " I heard of you. Your some kind of bigshot with the Brotherhood of Steel"

Me "that's right I'm going to toy with you raiders before I exterminate you like I did to the institute"

Piper "disliked that "
