IMidgetManI
Hello, I have become very frustrated due to not being able to delete a "textures" file located in a "distantland" file created by the MGE XE mod. I was fiddling around with different mods looking for something to add more flora. I installed and uninstalled a bunch manually. I backed up my data file in case of any issues. I later discovered that MGE XE can add flora, but i didn't enable it the first time i installed it (last year). I went into MGE XE to enable it but found kept getting an error. I found the source of the error was that MGE XE doesn't have access to the "textures" that it needs to edit. I also can't edit this file and couldn't alter its security. It states that it needs an administrator, which I am. I got frustrated and tried to delete the whole Morrowind file because i thought my reckless modding had caused an issue. However, as I try to delete the Morrowind file, the "textures" file keeps stopping me. There is nothing I can do with this file. Move it, rename it, open it. I tried 3rd party programs but they couldn't remove it either. Due to modding being the cause of the problem, I thought I should write my issue here to see if other modders have encountered this problem and could help. Thanks for any help or replies. Note - Before this whole issue occurred, I backed up my Data File which had MGE XE installed. In this back up folder, I can access its "textures" file. This is strange as I can't access the original file but I can access the copy.
IMidgetManI
I'm not sure what exactly occurred but after attempting to delete it with the command prompt and restarting the computer, the file was missing once I was in safe mode.
