Mounting Oblivion

I purchased Oblivion for a tidy sum of £19 quid from my local Gamestation, and thought it would be ok to make a backup copy, I am not for copying all manner of stuff but I thought, if my original disc got scratched that would be the end for me :( so I have done this and it works fine, installation worked which I thought it might not and also it actually worked with the copied DVD in my DVD drive, so I thought why not mount it by using poweriso, so I did this and to my surprise it actually worked but it says Disc not found in drive F:/ and my image is mounted on to a G:/ drive, so I just press cancel and it loads up as normal. Is there a way of changing it so this annoying message doesn't come up, do I have to change my physical DVD drive letter to say H:\ (any ideas on how I would do this?) then use Poweriso to change my mounting drive to F:/?

Playing with a virtual drive is not suggested since just having the image loaded uses up a fair amount of RAM. Additionally, the game is not meant to be used in such a way due to legal reasons. The purpose of making a backup is not to use said backup. Anything additional that might be said might also apply to an illegal usage of the product, so cannot be said since your purchase cannot be verified.

^ legal way/disclaimer

real advice:

how many drives do you have setup?

what you could do, is remove some of those drives until you're down to none in the system, then install Virtual CloneDrive (uses barely any ram, at the price of a little CPU use)..

reinstall all other drives, and if you did it in a correct, wise way, you would have the iso image in the first/main disc drive on your system.

of course, this would require you to take your PC apart..etc.

short, simple way?

keep the backup iso, but install a noCD crack from game copy world..

i'm running on a noCD crack now, and it works 100%.

of course, if you did, infact, pirate the game by downloading it/stealing it..etc, ignore the above advice and BUY THE GAME.
