No faster speed increase hold-selecting more/less of an item

I'm on Pathfinder 1.24, and it's really bugging me that when i try to select more or less of an item, like a 1000 of an item, it never speeds up like it used to and takes me forever to fx sell or buy 500 from a 100 stack.

 

I believe back when i last played Foundation/Pre-Foundation the mod "Profession Explorer and Trader" did this exact thing when active.

But this happens both with and without mods now.

 

Has it purposely been changed by the dev, or can anyone help me fix it?
