Cougar88889
I STRESS once more, you just have to add the .bsa to your ini to avoid your own textures from being overriden. How do we do that buddy?
thesapien
What's wrong with the music? it's a good song from one of the good era's of music...guess you can tell who listens to Justin Bieber lol. Fail. I wouldn't even know how to spell his name like you did. I thought it was a horrible plug because it didn't feel right or match the lore, just random, and way out of place.Go ahead, make another false assumption or say something stupid again. elvinkun
I STRESS once more, you just have to add the .bsa to your ini to avoid your own textures from being overriden. How do we do that buddy?Skyrim.ini in your documents, Archive section, adding the names of the texture packs, should look like this... sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsaThen disable the two .esps which came with the pack. Now you should have the HD pack, but it will be overriden by any texture you add into the texture folder or with another esps. GMatthews
I STRESS once more, you just have to add the .bsa to your ini to avoid your own textures from being overriden. But since I unpacked ALL of the game textures -the BSA wouldn't do anything, would it? Vanlococo
I've got a good bunch of quality texture mods, how or where can i see for sure the gain from the HdPack ? Most textures i have not modded look just the same as before : road gravel, wood houses, ground textures ...

Well, I don't really see why would you want to do that, but I guess unpacking the HD ones into data files and getting rid of the esps completly should work just as well, but I'm not sure how the game will cope with several Gbs of loose files in the folders, I'd say it means slower loadings, possibly crashes...and who knows what else once you get a lot of mods atop of it. I don't know tho, can't say I really know how Skyrim can deal with a hell lot of files, I'm basing the assumption on Oblivion and Fallout experiences :) @ VanlococoI'm not sure there, But I think the ground on most places actually is the same as it always was. But houses / wood is noticable, when you look close enough. I might be a bit more sensitive, since haven't used any retext mods so far, because I somewhat though they will give us better textures. Frell262
I really like the pack, and pictures were added in the video desc. People on nexus tend to want textures that show little dirt encrusted and ants crawling, but thats just not efficient at all. They get WAY to noisy and even more blurry at a distance, I can't stand them.
merroe
Pictures aren't doing the new HD textures justice. I was pretty skeptical of the benefit of the new pack after seeing user picks but, after downloading and installing them, I can tell you the game looks MUCH better at least to my untrained eyes. Everything, armor in particular, seems to have a lot more richness and depth. People look a lot better as well, and the blocky noses are fixed. Changing the .ini files and getting rid of the .esp's is also the way to go. Thanks to all who posted the fix for this.
