MofoMojo
WIth the CK out now I was REALLY hoping it was possible to add new Skills. I went into the Actor Values and my heart skipped a beat when I was able to add a new Actor Value, but alas no way (that I see) to set it to a type of "Skill". So two questions. 1) Is there anyway to add a new skill to Skyrim? I'm not saying a pseudo skill where you're just doing all the legwork manually and behind the scenes (tracking a global value, etc,.) or are those cooked into the TESV.EXE bin?2) Is there anyway to create a new Perk Tree associated with THAT skill or just a generic Perk Tree not associated with a particular skill? I hacked around with SkyEdit before CK's release and was able to replace perks and etc,. out of the base skill trees, and see how to do that in the CK as well, but really want to ADD a new perk tree and skill. Or at the minimum, just a new perk tree. Any of the beta testers have much luck in doing that? TIA! -MM

Bismarck
Maybe this will help you to get started:The perks can be found in the Creation Kit's Object Window.Look under "Actor" and "Magic Effects".Now I need to find out how to edit that perk menu. ltlukelt
I've been looking into this for a while now with no luck. If you go to Character -> Actor Values... and select a skill you can then view it's perk tree and add new perks but I don't see anyway of creating a new ActorValue let alone a perk tree

Most options are grayed out. If anyone figures this out, it would be MUCH appreciated. -MM
TheOutlander
I think it is a case of "gimped on purpose". I've looked at it every which way and you just don't have any working options to make new Actor values or Perk Trees. Which for me is an obvious example of their "game jam" video including a wereform perk tree being a "developer tools only" thing. :sigh:
nyxeka
I have a GREAT idea. What you could do, is create a new perk, then have an activator object somewhere in skyrim that you can activate, and then you use the "player.addperk" function to add the new perk that you created :D

What I really would like is to have my base vampire with it's abilities, spells, etc,. but then have perks that extend it. I.e. rather than add a perk point on leveling into One-Handed, you COULD spend it on a Vampirism Perk which, say, gave you a 50% chance to evade certain attacks, or reduce fall damage by 40% instead of the base 20%. I'd like to give the player *some* chance to be in control of which abilities he/she excels at in Vampirism. -MM
Jakisthe
I do hope we find some work around...seeing as good chunk of my side-ideas feature additional perk trees (SHAMELESS PLUG FOR MULTICOLORED LINK IN SIG). The activator object is...interesting, and not a bad idea per say, but that makes the perks into, essentially, spellbooks, and less of a natural progression kind of thing.
