schkaff
Hey guys, so here is my 2nd idea, which i think would make combats with 1h/2h weapons more intersting. The principle is drawn from the ancient game "Mount and Blade Warband". Maybe some of you will remember that awesome combat system. For those who don't know what i', talking about, check out that link and skip to 9:45: Basicly one does not swing an weapon by cklicking anyomore but also may CONTROL THE TYPE OF SWING. 4 types of swings were available: leftswing [by looking slightly to the left of the enemy]rightswing [by looking slightly to the right of the enemy]straight forward [by looking slightly below the enemie's face, quicker with a little less damage]powerful [by looking slightly below the enemie's face, 2x damage but slower attack speed] HOWEVER: skyrim combat moves stay the same, of course. Only the fighting principles should be added :D And on top of that. Blocking without a shield will automaticly become harder, as one can only block an attack by facing the incoming direction. That means one can not constanly block just by hold right-click but has e.g. to move the mouse slightly to the left when blocking an opponents rightswing, in order to absorb the damage. I,again hope, that you get my idea, as it is not my native language.I really would sh*t rainbows and stuff when this principle became involved into skyrim. :D Edited February 8, 2012 by schkaff
