3ds max 2010 export to skyrim

i got 3dsmax 8 old, also 3dsmax 2010 , can we export a nif and slap it ingame or do we need to go through nifskop first,etc,

 

what are the steps to add a static mesh, i got a building i wanted to add in skyrim, but it all seems so far away compared to oblivion, ty

no one knows????, as i`ve seen it on other post, bu not sayaing much, i know u can work with rigging ,armor, but i want static only

i have max2010, and i'm also looking for info on this.. the latest one is known to work on max2011 and 2012, and then there's another one that works on max 9 soooo.... not sure

I use 3DS Max 2010 and we still have to go through Nifskope to fix a few things. Annoying but not terrible once you get used to it. Time consuming for sure.

 

i have max2010, and i'm also looking for info on this.. the latest one is known to work on max2011 and 2012, and then there's another one that works on max 9 soooo.... not sure
