Making a Book Consolidation Mod

I'm somewhat new to modding, but I want to try my hand at the Creation Kit, so I'm starting with something relatively simple; consolidating each multivolume story into one book. So for example, the Biography of Barenziah consists of three volumes; I would put all three volumes in one book (and refer to the volumes as chapters). While I intend to make things more convenient this way by decreasing the number of books you have to keep in your inventory/container, doing so would also produce some inconvenient results.

First off, the consolidation would mean that you'd have to flip through the previous volumes' pages first if you want to start at a later volume. Is there a way to create a navigation system where you can select the volume/chapter (or even page) you want to read?

Secondly, it would be nice if I could include page numbers at the bottom-center of each page, though this is purely optional (and with how small each page already is, perhaps page numbers wouldn't be so great). Nevertheless, is there an HTML code to include page numbers?

Finally, I'm debating on what to do on the authors' asides; whether to keep them or alter/delete them to make the story flow better. I guess it differs depending on the book, but any suggestions would be nice.

I've already determined what I'm going to do for a couple of aspects. For each book's weight, the more volumes the original book series contained, the heavier the book will be. So in the case of the Biography of Barenziah, which has three volumes, the consolidated book would weigh 3 kg. I think I'll also decrease the weight of non-volume books depending on how many paragraphs they have (perhaps 0.2 kg per paragraph?). And as for the value, I'm just doing some adding and rounding. For instance, each volume of the Biography of Barenziah has a value of 3; their combined value would be 9, but I rounded it up to 10 for the sake of simplicity.

Any support, comments, and/or criticism is appreciated!
