How does Steam workshop work

Okay so Steam workshop has been out for a day already so has anyone figured out how do mods that have been uploaded on it avoid conflicting with other mods. It probablly isn't a problem now but later when the bigger more complex mods come out it is inevitable that there will be problems.

What do you guys think will happen to Steam workshop later on when the bigger complex mods come out? Will it cause a giant disaster with mods conflicting with each other?

The bigger complex mods won't be on SW. It doesn't support complex, scripting and big. I believe it will be mostly limited to smaller tweaks and meshes & textures, not just now, but forever.

So I don't think anything will happen.

Okay good, I always feel uneasy when the installs are too easy. Prefer having some control with NMM.

Yeah, that's actually what bugged me the most while checking the SW (well, apert from being it Steam), you completly realease any kind of control, since you only have one button to work wih. Also was told Steam reverses the DLed mods back to original state when you tamper with them without unsubscribing. Wonder if that's true, but I'm too lazy to try. Either way, things which need Script extender or script dragon, eventually ESB / similar will never be there, same for multiple esm/esb - ini tweaks I guess, so either way, Nexus it was, Nexus it will be. In Nexus we trust. :D

Actually, thinking about it, I'd say SW will have mods which hypothetically could be implemented on consoles (might happen, huh? I'm sure there must be some plan on how to make money from SW). Which means keeping it simple.

I installed a robot and it as a bit scary, first the description didn´t say anything nor where to find it and then that subscribe button :S I liketo know what I´m putting in my data folder wont use the workshop as it´s clear that it will cause conflicts in the future.

Actually if you fast travel to the western watchtower near Whiterun you will see it fall out of the sky but yeah I agree with you. The descriptions on the mods are not very good at all.
