Giggilyomeromicon
I've been working on a sound mod over the past few days, and it's working out pretty well so far. I've been able to get idle animations to play over much further distances, so there are many more ambient sounds being made by creatures. What's strange, though, is that there doesn't seem to be any kind of system for deciding which animations are available as quest topic responses, and some creatures and animals don't have any animations available at all. After doing a lot of looking and searching I can't figure out how I would add more possible animations. While I can edit .hkx files and change animation sounds that way, it's a lot easier to control what plays when through topic responses.
zilav
You can set your own hkx animation for each response, just name it as the voice file but with .hkx extension.

Where should the .hkx file be placed? I've tried putting it in the ESP's voice folders and in the root animation folder without any much success. Check http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7273 it has a column with custom hkx files (filter in Excel).

I'm not sure what could be causing a problem, maybe it only works in actual conversations? Thanks for your reply, anyways.
