PC Doppelgangers?

So, I downloaded DIMONIZED Type 3 body mod, not that this has anything to do with the following bug, but I thought it would keep people from asking if I think the last mod I installed caused this. I walked into Victor's shack with Veronica, and looted a little bit, for no good reason, and exited, after telling Veronica to wait in there for me. I then walked to Doc Mitchell's and upon returning to get Veronica, I saw an NPC walking around invisible, as though they had used a Stealth Boy, so I exited the building and re-entered it, and the character was visible, so I approached it and upon getting close enough to interact with it, I realized it had the same name as my character, and an armor that I also possessed, though not the one I was wearing, and so I freaked out a bit, and decided to try something. So I proceeded to shoot her repeatedly, and when she died, I searched her body, and she had the exact same inventory as me, even the mod items, and so now I'm more fascinated than creeped out, and would like some help figuring out what happened, and if possibly I could recreate the event, and maybe spawn multiple clones of my character, and perhaps start some kind of crazy clone army. I'm not really interested in getting rid of the doppelganger, more just recreating it. So if you have any suggestions, have heard of something like this before, or know anything that may be helpful, please respond asap and let me know what's up.
