CoopRage
Introduction This mod idea is and ambitious one and could flop easily, but even if it takes years I want to see this completed, and not done like that Project Brazil mod either. What I am planning is a mod that will affect the entire game, I’m talking new outfits, new game mechanics, a new worldspace, old characters getting new arcs, the whole nine yards. So if you’d like to help this project in any way then I’m happy to have you, here are the people we need: Map Creators Voice Actors (Male and Female) Animators (SFM is an option to explore) Quest Mod Makers Resource Developers (Optional) And anything you might find useful to this project. Now, if you are interested in helping please keep reading and think of ways to improve this as you read. New Worldspace So a new worldspace is necessary for this project, it will be in Denver and require assets from Zion for the look. The entrance to this worldspace will be the freeway that is between Brooks Tumbleweed Ranch and Ruby Hill Mine. This mod will focus on Vault A, a RobCo Vault developed by Mr. House. It will also focus on a settlement of tribals that have a thriving community. The Worldspace is going to be about half the size of the Mojave, and a good chunk at the beginning will be highly irradiated. Irradiated StartAt the Start of the mod the character will be in a safe little area with a few wrecked cars on the freeway that the Courier can’t pass so they will take the first exit into Denver. A dilapidated “Welcome to Denver” sign will be one of the first things the player notices, along with a load of radiation. The player will have to go through the radiation in a slog of a walk, this must take about the time it takes to reach nipton from goodsprings. Bodies of varying levels of decay will litter this dead forest as the courier pushes through a very irritated journey. Now there are two solutions to getting through the Radiation, A: Pop a rad-x and bring a ton of radaway because this radiation will be at a solid 20 rads/sec the whole way through. Or B: Repair Mr. Radical’s Rad Suit (You know they guy, the one from the Fly Me To The Moon Quest). The bodies that litter the path the courier walks on must be filled with decent loot, by the time they reach the end of the trail they should see a couple of rangers or a BoS Paladin or something. The ClearingAt the end of the Irradiated Trail the courier will find a lush clearing with wildlife present, a small town occupied by friendly tribals should be visible and Vault A should be well hidden, if possible there should be non-irradiated animals such as bears, deer, cows and bulls being raised in the settlement. The SettlementThe settlement will be filled with tribals, they aren’t dumb or speak broken english however, they speak fine and knows what things really are, they just have a small religious background. There will be two or three pre-war ghouls that live in the settlement that basically keep the tribe connected and together. They will have tons of good salvage and junk for sale, good armor, conventional melee weapons, and they’ll pay a fortune for ammo since they ran out of it for all their guns years ago. The VaultThis is where most of the quests of the mod will be located, and many branching paths await. There are three ways to find the vault Dumb luck (Find it through exploring) The Tribals tell you (They will only tell you about the vault if you are wearing a Vaultsuit) You find it’s location through a RobCo Terminal in the H&H Tools Building Now the main quest can start very different, for example, Let’s say you walk in and you have the location of the Vault on your pip-boy, they will remove it, take it to a terminal and examine it, (At gunpoint might I add). They will then ask if your happen to be a courier and if you have heard of a Platinum Chip, if you have already given it to someone else they will ask you to get it back. If you haven’t gotten it yet they will ask you to retrieve it for them. If you already have it they will welcome you in and more quest will be available to the player. However, if the player does not have the location of Vault A on their pip-boy from the RobCo Terminal, then they will take you prisoner and take your belongings, you will then have to prove yourself trustworthy before asking you to retrieve the chip. More of the mod will be discussed openly on this Discord server: https://discord.gg/JHEExXC Please join us and help us make an amazing expansion to Fallout: New Vegas
Deleted3897072User
It might help to recruit helpers if you say a little about your own abilities. For example, what mods have you developed yourself, that you can point to as evidence of your personal success as a developer? What experience do you have of leading teams of software developers (or any teams, really)? Regardless of the specifics of the mod that you envisage, to inspire potential followers you need to convince them that you are the right man to be leading a project. Your Nexus profile seems curiously empty so perhaps you have been active elsewhere? Tell people about it.
Thuggysmurf
You might get more interest if you developed the idea using the Fallout 4 engine. FO4 has 20-25k daily Steam users, FNV has under 3k daily Steam users. How many of those under 3k users will still be there in the several years it would take to make this mod? A brief explanation of how you plan to beat the odds and complete the project when the vast majority of projects like this end up abandoned, might also be helpful.
