freddycashmercury
I'd suggest a Shoggoth, but that wouldn't be feasible either. I'd like to see another Mortal Kombat. Yeah, I know. Kind of overdone, but I like them. EDIT: Oops. MK isn't Pc. Nevermind. I'd like to see another.... Halo. Hahahahaha.
Marcus Wolfe
How many sequels can a game have before you're basically playing the same game over and over again? 3 is the absolute maximum for sequels of anything. Movies, Games whatever.. After that its just going to get boring and let you down. Actually, they made a Devil May Cry 4 and it was supposedly awesome. 3 is more the average (mode, median?) of the maximum amount of sequels you can have. Just look at Mario. Just look at Mario. What definition of 'awesome' are you going by? Yahzee's definition says the game sucks. Mario? Your point is...? Nintendo is...special. If you've ever paid attention to their games, you'll see that they're all the same. Only Nintendo can do this; only Nintendo can release the same game over, and over, and over. Their fan base is more devoted to them than the Crusaders were to the Pope. Seriously, Mario is more popular than God. Because of this, Nintendo gets away with releasing the exact same games over and over. Mario is the worst example ever of a game remaining fresh. @ freddy: Yes, a shoggoth would be bad in Soul Calibur. Mainly, because one of them is nearly impossible to kill. Only complete immolation would work. Even then, it might not completely die. Now Pyramid Head would be a great addition to Soul Calibur! :D
Marcus Wolfe
Maybe he was just not so good at the game. Judging from Devil May Cry 3, 'hard' mode is next to impossible, and not everybody may be good at Devil May Cry. Of course, this will be a stupid argument until at least one of us actually plays this game. ARGUMENT ENDED. You were right about Mario: it is basically the same game over and over. Same can be said about Sonic. In order to ensure a successful sequel, you must keep everything good from the first game, but discard everything that sucked (one exception to this may be fighter games, where it is a good idea to constantly add to the rooster of Playable Characters, but never to remove any). It is also a good idea to add new features and options. Graphic improvements are a must.

It is also a good idea to add new features and options. I dunno about that, Street Fighter III was excellent despite the removal of nearly all past characters. But I guess you'll always have players clinging to the past and unwilling to change. Lol at the "rooster of playable characters"; it made me think of Oliems from Tobal No. 1. Graphic improvements are a must. It's always great when graphics get a boost, but a pretty face is just a pretty face. More developers should really consider this as secondary. jojo man
I'de like to see a new Deus Ex. The second one was sacrelege(sp?) and the name needs to be redeemed. I'de also like to see a new Empire at War RTS that featured more factions from the extended story lore.
