Gary3 Posted February 8, 2012 Share Posted February 8, 2012 Hello, it would be great if someone could help me with this problem:When I modify the horse mesh and load it in Skyrim, the game crashes when a scene with a horse is loaded, probably because my technique of importing/changing the nif is not correct. I've imported the horse.nif into 3D Studio Max 2012, using the following settings. Strange is, that I can't choose the skeleton, but that's probably only a side problem: (please click images to enlarge) I left the BSDismember Skin and Skin modifiers in 3DSMAX untouched and only modified some vertices in the vertex section of the editable mesh.I created a bump on the left side of the horse body for testing.Then I used this settings to export the nif. In Nifskope, a comparison of the original and the modified nifs showed no great difference, so I just loaded it in the game, which is causing a crash. Unfortunately, there are only tutorials for armors/persons which don't seem to work on a horse mesh.I'd be thankful for any hint / link / workflow correction!
