jjb54 Posted April 23, 2017 Share Posted April 23, 2017 Sorry for the length - just want to be sure all the facts are here: At first I thought this was related to " Follower Type Mods " and/or related type mods. When I came back to FO 4 this year, 2017. Decided I wanted to give Beth - FO 4 SE and DLC's all a chance to catch up and become sync'd. Before I left the game, just before Nuka World - my follower Mod, my followers and such were " happy campers ". I no issues with the follower part of the game at any time. When I came back, I had issues with Dismissing any and all Robots. Specifically Ada. Point being:I could dismiss her and Codsworth would leave or some robot that I created with the Robo-Workbench. I could NOT get rid of her: Period. She would go through the dismiss dialogs and then ... keep following. So I started a brand new clean game, with NO follower mods at all. I did not even use Transfer Settlement Mod, as I did not want a chance of any ' carry over '. I have some mods that change the appearance with Dogmeat, Nick V. and Deacon. Just changed physical looks and nothing more. Annoying as it was I could only have 1 follower at a time. Oh, well, " it is what it is .... " When I rescued Ada, I was not ready to take on that Quest as I had 2 on the burner that I was doing. So I sent her to Sanctuary and away she went. :) On return, I thought, " well let's see .... " So I took her to Concord with me, as a follower and dismissed and she went to Red Rocket, where I sent her. GOOD! So one more test, I took her to Boston and did a couple of Raider Clean house and sent her back to Sanctuary and away she went. :) Then I used the Robot Workbench on Codsworth. Thought he needed some upgrades. Took him to Concord to ' test his new hardware ' and all was good. :) Went to Sanctuary, got Ada ... and got a call to " defend Starlight Drive In ". Did not want to deal with Ada, as she had NO upgrades ... did the dismiss and ... she would NOT dismiss. :mad: So it seems, that when the Robot Workbench is used, it has a very direct link to Ada not being able to be dismissed, period. This was NOT the case, pre-Nuka-World, as I did not experience this at all and had a few Robot Followers, Cods, Nick V. and so on. I now use the console command to dismiss her ... and in fact now that that Main Quest is over, I simply do not use her at all, because of the annoying dis-miss bug. Any thoughts? .. Jj ...
