PsychoTechARMS
It's been years since I've modded for a game. Last one was Morrowind and seemed a lot easier than it is now. Could just be my 30 year old brain isn't capable of what it used to be in my teens. Anyway, I sorta missed gaming / modding and wanted to jump back into it yet I am unsure on what is the most efficient way to start. Here's a list of what I intend to do with this mod and would like some input on where to begin as to avoid complications in the future. Purpose of Mod To have an optional place to have access to all vendors, crafting, etc. For players that do not wish to build their own settlements and have to manage it and them. However, this availability comes at a cost. almost everything will cost you caps if you do not wish to do it yourself. Let us say you don't want to have to get the perks in order to upgrade your gear. Just pay to have a smith do it for you. - build a NPC settlement in a custom location - 2 main factions (faction that runs the settlement, Vendors, Guards, etc.) and faction that is the people there for purpose of the town's theme. * make the people that are there for the town's purpose are recruitable via caps. * Only intend to use basic vanilla NPC templates for voice, ai, etc. as to try to not conflict with other mods that alter these things. I just want them to exist and follow the main basic NPC functions. - Have all access to workbenches/ facilities via caps * want to either make it to where player has to pay in order to use workbenches' respected facilities as if they are owned by NPCs or just make it to where you pay the NPC to do the work for you. *would like to choose the ladder* - Purchasable interior player home where you can customize it * this should be the only part of the town where the player can be able to alter as they can in their own settlements. This is pretty much the base of it. I have it listed as to what I should worry about first to last. any input on where I should begin or pro tips is much appreciated. also would like to know where a place has good tutorials on the CK and FO4edit. Most of the one's I have found are very vague and/or only cover bare minimum. I would like some in depth and specific instruction. Any advice would be helpful and I thank you for it.
