Sonck Posted April 18, 2008 Share Posted April 18, 2008 dont know if this is in the right section of the forum (im new to this forum) im almost finishing my new mod, a castle (like we dont have enough castle mods), but im still having some probs-i wanna make a gate to oblivion that never closes-i wanna make a (iron) gate whith a pressureplate right before the iron gate so when u walk over it, it opens, and when u walk over it again, it closes. there is onely one pressureplate(its to protect the rest of the castle from my oblivion gate so no daedra is poring out - when u come out the oblivion gate, u run over the pressure plate and the iron gate behind u closes so the daedra coming out the oblivion gates cant get further) tried to use other scripts but i dont understand fully how they work after this is done, i can fully use my mod and even upload it thanx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bben46 Posted April 18, 2008 Share Posted April 18, 2008 Williesea has an Oblivion gate in his great Ancient Towers mod that can be reset. Also he has set it so nothing comes through from the other side. Sonck Posted April 21, 2008 Author Share Posted April 21, 2008 oke, the oblivion gate works.but when i load my mod and the acient towers mod in the CS it gives an error something to do whith the obliviongatetotamariel i think. this is what the mod from acient towers sais:"This mod has a re-openable oblivion gate. Any mod that changes the >Door >OblivionGateToTamriel object could cause a Crash To Desktop (CTD) upon returning from the Oblivion gate. Or, most likely, the Oblivion Gate will not work at all."so this means theis mod cant work whith my mod or other mods that use a gate (like 300_Akavari_Stronghold)would it work if i place my gate outside (tamariel)? Technically, any door which is setup properly could behave like an oblivion gate. The problem comes in when you want that door to link to more than one place within the same game. Sonck Posted April 21, 2008 Author Share Posted April 21, 2008 but i didnt use a script yet. i onely made a new oblivion gate which teleports to a random oblivion plane.the problem is I edited the OblivionGateToTamariel so i can return.
