irswat
The mods are vigilant.esp, summersetisles.esp, and dreamborn islands.esp. If I check any one of these mods ctd on load. Any ideas?it's a clean save in riverwood trader right out of helgen cave.lots of textures. Edited April 25, 2017 by irswat
Algabar
With 400 mods, it's probably simply "memory overload". Skyrim was never developed for handling such large load orders as yours (and mine) properly. There's a certain threshold of mods, scirpts and animations the game can handle at once. Where it is, depends on you system. Once you're above this threshold, crashes on load will become an issue. Now all the mods you mentioned are quite large and add lots of new land, NPCs, quests... to the game. In your case, they are porbably just that "one mod too much"... You can try "Continue game no crash": http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78557/? If your load order is stable otherwise, this will solve your problem. If it doesn't help, there's something else going on - mod conflicts, missing files - or you just need to cut down your load order.
irswat
interesting. thanks.I'm going to give it one more go with a merged patch and smashed patch, but it seems instead of crashing with any of these mods, now im getting ILS. Weird thing is though that when I run skyrim performance monitor I'm nowhere near vram limit or memory limit prior to crash. I'm using Crash Fixes and SKSE memory blocks Edited April 25, 2017 by irswat
irswat
after using performance monitor it became clear that the problem is too much ram usage. Even after compressing textures. I had to get rid of radiant spawn engine.
