Making a new skill tree?

Ok, I'm really hitting a wall here. I want to make a new skill tree, but I can't seem to get off the ground here. I tracked things down to the Actor Values... menu in the Character drop menu. It has the skills there and everything, but when I try to create a new actor value(both new and duplicate of another one) it causes the game to crash at startup. Is this even something possible, or should I just move on to different mods?

This is also going to require some editing of the Flash based Skills UI. That could be where your crash is resulting from, as I believe it preloads all the flash based menus upon startup.

Hmmmm...well, I looked into that, unpacked the interfaces. I'm assuming it is levelupmenu.swf. The problem is when I open it up with adobe, I just get a blank grey screen and I can't modify it. Also, I don't think that's entirely the reason it's crashing. This happens when I try to make any new actorvalue. Not just when I try to make a new skill.

Are you talking about creating a new perk tree?

There was talk about this in the new thread about that video that Beth put up on the super-mega-cool mods that the devs made in a week of "free play". One mod was a werewolf perk tree, I think, or something like that, and someone in the thread was saying how with just the Ck that kind of mod would be impossible. That's all I remember off-hand. It's on the first page of the site (the article on this video, and said thread).

You're right, I'm hitting lots of roadblocks here. First thing, I'm pretty sure that all the skill trees are contained in one big flash file(Maybe, it could be taking an array of perk trees when it runs. In that case it could be feasible). So, theoretically, if I'm right, when two people make a perk tree, they may override and cause a collision.

But maybe we can do this a different way. What if, we could create a trainer, who will load up his own flash menu and we could distribute perk points in that stand alone menu.

The problem is, I can't seem to find a way to make that without overriding an existing menu. I have this sinking feeling that I have to do this with skse, but I can't seem to find any documentation on how to properly use it. Does anyone know where I can get it?
