immersive armors prevents game launch

so I recently downloaded two mods for Skyrim SE; inigo SE and Immersive armors SE. Inigo works fine. when I try check off the plugins for IA before launch using NMM, the game closes immediately after clicking 'play' on the launcher, no error message or anything. when I go into the mod menu before loading a save, if i check off IA, it crashes the game, "skyrim SE has stopped working"

 

I have tried:

making sure both mods are the SE versions.

organizing the load order with LOOT

restarting pc

changing the SkyrimPref.ini to bEnableFileSelection=1

 

does anyone have any ideas on what else I can do? I searched google and the forum and nothing came up that worked.

Uninstall Imerssiver Armors for SE & Delete

 

Try re-downloading Immersive Armors for SE and reinstall with NMM -

 

I have had better success Manually downloading the .zip file and adding it to NMM (Mods tab, click on the green + and locate your .zip)

Once it has been added to NMM you can remove from previous directory, as NMM will resave it in a new location.
