Something to prevent player destroying all monsters via kiting?

I find that pretty much all monsters are easily beatable by simply running, turning, shooting, rinse and repeat. Any mod out there that remedies this? Increasing monster speed, giving them ranged attacks,leaps, special abilities, e.t.c?

As it is, I have to artificially make it difficult by disallowing much running and whatnot. In that case, it just turns into a DPS contest. Still boring and uninteresting, obviously.

Some creatures do have jump attacks, like deathclaws and mantis, but i know what you mean.

I don't know how savvy you are with the GECK or FNVEdit, but here are a couple of ways to do it;

The first way is to simply decrease the movement speed of the player, but this may get annoying, and won't help this problem much if you have a sprint mod installed, as you are saying you can simply turn and sprint away then turn back to fire. This will make creatures seem much faster though. (I'm pretty sure if you change this particular global all other "human" NPCs will be affected too.)

The other way is to physically increase the movement speed of the creatures that you want to be more of a challenge by going through and changing their movement speed value to between 0 - 250. This is perfect, but is time consuming, especially if you have creature mods installed and you want to buff them also.

I think the reason you may be having trouble finding something is that when it comes to combat everyone has a different idea of how things should be, customizing it to suit yourself is probably the best way to go. My advice is to find and install FNVEdit, then to make the edits to the creatures you want using the "copy as override" function. It's definitely the quickest way once you get FNVEdit running.

Don't get me wrong though, you might get lucky and someone will make it or something similar for you.

Thank you very much. Very understanding and the information was very useful as well; that stuff actually sounds easily doable for somebody who isn't a modder like myself.

That latter option doesn't sound that bad, I'll probably go with that.

Understandably you didn't recommend anything on new capabilities for the creatures as that would have been a 100 page post (or a single line linking to the wiki).

That would be better though, so it would be nice if such a mod came to be.
