Glotat
Tl;dr: Suddenly started freezing. Game doesn't actually crash to desktop, the sound continues, cpu usage drops to 0.1% and memory usage stays the same. Long version: After 25 hours of the same mods and consistently good gameplay, my game randomly froze and hasn't been able to get past a loading screen. I backed up my save files somewhere else, tried to start a new game, and it usually freezes on a menu of some sort. So far what I've done for troubleshooting: -- Uninstalled all my mods. This did not make the game load.-- Reinstalled Fallout 4 (AND deleted all content left behind in its folder before reinstalling it)-- Starting a new save. This /works/ so long as I have done all of the follow: -- Restarted my computer. -- Don't engage in combat for more than a couple of seconds. -- Don't edit my facial features.-- Verified that drivers are up to date; no recent updates were found and all 25 hours of my last save were played as it was.-- Ensured antivirus wasn't interfering with it or steam.-- Restarted my computer. This works, but only until a certain point. Usually it'll freeze in a loading screen before the model shows up and the pulsing loading icon at the bottom right freezes too. Alt + F4 is the only way I can get out of this, but it doesn't actually end the process so I have to end it manually through windows task manager. I have no DLC, I don't think my computer specs ARE the problem since nothing has changed recently, it's just being miserable. I have indeed verified that there is no residue from other mods left over. I didn't install any new ones recently, nor any new software or updates on the computer itself. Everything has been reset, a fresh install, new .ini files(then patched again for modding), the F4SE in place again, and these are the mods I have that I'm currently testing. I left NOTHING behind and I was certain of it, and all the mods currently in use so far haven't been known to break a game like this. http://i.imgur.com/JgnLq1I.png I have DEF_UI, HUD Framework + patch, Armorsmith + Community Resource, Concealed armor, Looksmenu, Looksmenu Customization Compendium, Homemaker, Sim Settlements, and Horizon. One oversight I had has to do with the concealed armor mod. A gander in the bug reports there say not to overwrite anything as it may cause CTD, so there is a possibility that could be the cause, but I'm not getting a CTD in the first place and it happens before I touch any workshop tools. UPDATE: with only F4SE installed(properly, at that) it's /still/ crashing. CPU: Intel Core i7 965 3.2GHzMicrosoft Windows 10 ProRAM: 6gbAMD Radeon R9 200 Series (This is fairly broad, can't really give you much more than this screenshot) I didn't build this computer, my dad did, and my tech savvy status doesn't extend to the specs of the computer(yet) so if more information is needed, let me know and I'll figure out how to get it. 6GB of RAM is ridiculously low, yet... Somehow this computer runs fine with every other game I have, and those are much more intense than Fallout 4.
