Unit076
SORRY! Double-posted :(Look here instead >> http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/558369-add-a-new-race-asianakaviri-race/ It should've been titled "East-Asian", but I think you know what I mean... Ok, so we've seen a lot of mods which alters face to looks more like Japanese RPG (or Asian/Oriental) faces. Like the "Oriental beauty" mod, or "envision Face" mod. Something like this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/images/3379439-1328791413.jpg , this : http://i.imgur.com/qdAwYl.jpg , or this: http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/6953-1-1328810703.jpg I myself would not prefer the people of Skyrim in my game to be altered to look Asian-like, since the influence of Skyrim is Nordic. So they would look more Caucasian. But, to be honest, I would still like to have some Asian-looking people in my game. Perhaps some NPCs, or even new characters. So then I thought, why not having it as a new race? Instead of turning all people to Asian-like, this would add a new race which feature Asian facial feature like those mod have been doing. As how it will fit to the lore (not breaking immersion)... I'm not really sure myself, but I suppose we could have them as an Akavirian. I realize the Akaviri humans living there has been extinct for long (or at least very rare), so I suppose we could have those Akavirian humans as a refugee or travelers or settlers from their homeland. I'm not a modder, so I could only give idea. But if there's anything I could help, I would help with anything I could. :) Edited February 9, 2012 by Unit076

But if there's anything I could help, I would help with anything I could. :) isn't a bad idea, but, Lore-wise(If its true) pratically the humans in akavir were killed or assimilated by the snake people and the other beastmen here's the concept of a tsaesci snakemenhttp://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120122230433/elderscrolls/images/a/a0/Akaviri_162.png BUT!, there's the Theory that the Tsaesci are in fact Humans (taken from TES wiki) Theory 1: The Tsaesci are entirely human, but their choice of armor (dragonscale), fighting style (katana blades with martial arts like maneuvers), and mounts (red dragons) earned them the name "snake men" from the Imperial Armies. Over centuries, this name came to be taken literally, until modern legend paints them as actual half-snake-half-man monsters(Third Era). Theory 2: The Tsaesci are humans, who along with the Ka Po' Tun have a magical ability to shape shift into the animals they identify with their cultures. This gives them the ability to take on the power of that animal. The eating of humans is a symbolic reference to the Tsaesci ability of adapting foreign cultures into their own. For instance "the eating of the Ka Po' Tun" is symbolism describing cultural absorption in their large empire. The rumor that they are literally snakes either comes from the confusion of Tsaesci magic or cultural prejudice against them.
