reallybigbadbob
Alright, so I have made some npcs, but for some reason, they are always fighting with the locals, even if i pull all the data from an existing npc. That doesn't bother me so much, as the fact that I can't hire the hireling i created, she asks for the money, if i have under 500 gold, but when i have the required gold, i do not get the dialog option to hire her. I am thinking about just making a duplicate of a hiring, and then just changing the appearance, but for future reference, i'd like to know how to get around this. Also, I want to make Jarl Elisif marriable, how can I do that? I did some messing around with factions and papyrus scripts, but can't seem to find anything that works to achieve that. David Brasher
When creating new NPCs, be sure to change their aggression settings and factions to the appropriate things. (Like if you copy a bandit, and drop it into town without editing it much, you are going to have problems. This bandit would need to be changed so that the aggression setting was low and he or she belonged to nice factions, presumably matching other people in town. He or she would also need to be removed from evil bandit sort of factions.)
reallybigbadbob
not really talking about copying a bandit, I understand that much. ex, I made a hireling, used all of Marcurio's data, but it still won't work. Still can't hire the npc, and still going around and fighting with everyone, even though aggression, ai, factions, relations, are all the same as marcurios
