Should mention it in the first post, something tells me I won't be the first one to bring it up [again] :tongue:

 

Anywho, this would require incredibly careful balancing. Obviously. But I fear it may suffer from something Witcher 2 did: expectations to prepare for something well before you know what you should be preparing for, and a general inability to deviate.

I also had ideas for a survivalism mod - but with more respect to the combat factor.

Take a look

 

Here's also a new idea to solve the Carry Weight Dilemma:

Depending on the amount of stuff you carry there is a passive negative stamina regeneration, while running (like the stamina used up while sprinting).

This means you can always walk (>),

only run (>>) if you have stamina to be used up by the negative stamina regeneration and

only sprint(>>>) when you have a lot of stamina to spend (vanilla).

This would mean there is no need for a maximum value of stuff you can carry, as nobody will just walk 2 realtime hours to get some stupid stuff to their house.

 

With respect to my combat enhancement idea, this would also make combat really hard for you, when carrying too much, as attacks cost stamina as well.

 

I would really like to see this happen!

Some of these you do not really need a mod for.

player.forceav carryweight 50

If you want you can set stamina regenartation off by:

Disable Fast Travel:

thanks, we can probably look it up in the CK to use these, but I don't want a mod that requires you to have you use the console commands. but thanks for the tips :)

so, let me see if I understand this correctly:

 

Depending on how much stuff you are carrying depends on how much stamina you use up while either sprinting or attacking?

yah i think making it 50 lbs makes it so you only pick up things that are actually worth picking up and makes having a storage place a lot more useful

same here, and maybe have some way to have containers hold, say, about 100 items or so? Maybe give it a carrying weight or something lol

Also, with the hit percentage, it was a suggestion. Again, it can be altered, or changed. how about you swing pretty slowly at first with a new sword, and the damage is low. The more kills you get with that sword, the faster you swing it, and the more damage it deals. That would seem more realistic. Of course, you won't get to the point where you swing it as fast as the Elemental Fury shout, but slightly faster then before.

 

Why not make the damage different every hit? Like 10-30, like in WoW. When you hit an enemy you hit somewhere between 10 and 40.

as much as I hate WoW, that's probably not a bad idea... but, not sure if it would really fit in with Skyrim's gameplay.

I don't like WoW that much either. Maybe I've played it too much.. :>

But I think it would make sense if every strike didn't hit the same percent.

Btw, I really like the idea of this mod, probably because I like to roleplay :) You have my support!
