Maelstrom100
Always found it kind of odd we have persuasion options based on speech, for intimidation and persuasion but not some kind of ability to influence others via magic through dialogue options similar to the Axii sign from the witcher series. As an example having learnt the illusion spell fear or calm might open up dialogue in conversation with an attacking bandit or even perhaps the dragon priest's at the start of the dragonborn questline allowing you to halt them in their tracks and force them to back off away from you purely through dialogue (implying the use of magic when using those dialogue options.) perhaps on a dyeing character you might be able to use a little restoration through dialogue to restore them at the cost of some magicka maybe even playing an animation as you do. perhaps if your illusion skill is high enough you could just walk into a store and ask them to hand over all the gold in there pockets or to lower there prices and give you a deal. maybe with the entry into riften portion you might be able to even shake down the guard tricking him into giving you money from his previous shakedowns and walk passed unscathed. essentially what im asking is for speech options to be augmented through the use of magic for a more intelligent character to be able to avoid fights or even cause them with some "slight of hand magic".
