:NEW MIDDLE-EARTH RPG IN IRC:

 

Lethmoraa and myself have decided to begin a well-organized rpg for irc based in Middle-earth. We hope that this will be a fun experiance for who ever participates in the game. We are giving a brief description here about the rpg. If you who hope to join then post your character here. You can also post any ideas for the plot or story here. We also hope to have the first role-playing session Feb. 1st. To join the rooms just connect to the irc.freenode.net server (the same server MEmod use for their room) and join the rooms: #Middle_earth & #merpg_help (If you have trouble connecting click here) If enough members join, we will have site, so you can check the current status of the adventure, your character status, and next rp'n dates.

:STORY:

 

It is the Third Age and a week has passed since Bilbo departed from the Shire to join the dwarves on an adventure.. And word has traveled to your ears of a great meeting of adventurers and treasure hunters who intend to go in search of magnificent plunder near the Lonely Mountain, though they don't know of the band of dwarves that have already got a week's headstart. (yea yea we know it sounds like The Hobbit, but justs give us a chance) You have been told that in two weeks and one day, the band will be gathering in Bree to make plans on how to go about this undertaking of unfathomable proportions. If you wish to join this expedition and hopefully reap some of the reward then you should make haste to Bree.

 

 

:RULES:

 

1) No godding, that is to say no invinciblity or any other unimagiable thing.

 

2) While in the main RP room, you must stay in character. Anything said out of character should be typed <text>.

 

3) When a moderator makes a decision, then the decision is final.

 

4) No poo about the 'one-ring' or LoTR will be played in this rpg.

 

5) If you join and play, then please play seriously. We want to have fun and also don't want people just screwing around.

 

6) You cannot be any of the powerful races. Examples include:Wraiths, Istari, Maiar, Valar, Ents, Trolls, Balrogs, etc. You can however be orcs, goblins, etc.

 

7) Have fun.

 

 

:MODERATORS:

 

For our game, we have decided to have moderators. The moderators will make any decisions concerning the rules during play. They will also be the ones to work on the story and plot outside of play. At this moment the only moderators are Lethmoraa and myself, but after the game picks up we hope to recruit two or more moderators to help us.

When you post your character, please try and include the following information:

>Description (eye color, height, age, etc)

>Race and Location (Rohan, Mirkwood, Gondor, etc)

>Any starting equipment

Skills:

Ability to speak fluent Sindar,Quenya,various manish languages, and minor amounts of dawrven.

 

Excellent skills in Tracking, cooking, Marksmanship, short/long sword,fletching,horsemanship and stealth.

Background: I lived in da holes 'f Moria, with da lousy pack 'f Goblins there, my bloody damn father was their leader, but I cut his throat while he slept *dirty laughing* and became the bloody leader of this filthy bunch of Goblins myself. But soon I've got bored of these damn stupid Goblins, smashed some of them to goo and left this damn filthy earth-hole in Moria. Then I walked the lands of bloody middle earth and robbed poor innocent travellers in da mountains *much more dirty laughing and playing with the black scimitar I'm holding in my dirty black hands* Sun don't hurt me, no it don't, 'cause I'm an Uruk and I'm going where I wanna and robbing who I wanna. Hell, I'm a damn Anarchist *maniac laughing* and I just like to cut throats of those "oh-so-good"-elves. 'Cause I'm evil, evil, evil :nazgul:

Race and Location: I'm an Uruk. I don't live anywhere really, just wandering the lands and robbing some guys who aren't watching while asleep or travelling.

equipment: a scimitar, black from all the blood smired on it; a black knife; a dirty, old and black Uruk-armor

skills: good Assassinating-skill (throat-cutting is my favorite); very good at scimitar-fighting, knife-fighting and bare hand fighting; mediocre at robbing, stealing and sneaking (comes from living alone and having to steal from people in order to survive); great strength (can break the neck of any bloody elf *laughing maniacly*); no real tongue fluency, except Westron and a little black speech
