liquidpixelz
Hey Guys, I'm getting annoyed trying to get this gorgeous mod to run. I feel like I have a decent rig to be able to run this, but no matter what, it crashes. I have tried both FULL and LITE versions of this mod, and had no luck. Here are my PC specs: Intel Quad Core Q9550 2.83 (overclocked to 3.6 with Corsair H60 Liquid Cooler) 4GB DDR2 RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 (overclocked slightly with Afterburner - Core Voltage 1.05, Core Clock 870 MHz, Shader Clock 1740 MHz, Memory Clock 1900 MHz ) Seagate ST3750640AS 750GB SATAII 7200rpm I went to Nvidia's site and did all the recommended tweaks from the link that is in Nebula's description. HERE I also installed Nvidia Inspector and did all the tweaks as well. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no mods or tweaks to the .ini file, just to make sure there was no mod conflicting with it, but no dice. Is it possible my rig doesn't have enough balls to run this mod or could it be something else? Thanks for any and all help guys.
cebollor
The rig it´s ok. I have the same problem than you: the game crashes in load screen. In my case, the solution was made that 4gb useful works: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=134 After this, the game works. Try it. Sorry for english. MShoap13
Since patch v1.3.10 the game is LAA by default which practically makes any 4GB unlocker mods useless. I will say that it is possible that Skyrim 4GB (a mod which apparently is no longer available on the Nexus) could have changed how Skyrim accesses memory to enough of an extent that it would have helped with stability, but the tutorial linked to by cebollor is obsolete if you're running a patched version of the game. If you aren't running a patched version (v1.4.21), updating would be my first step. Are you on a 32 bit or 64 bit OS?

My game is up to date with the 1.4.21. I never used the 4GB mod for Skyrim, I just waited for the patch to come out. I recently installed the Official HD pack, and noticed the load times take a lot longer than usual, but the game looks better. Anyone else having longer loading issues after the Official HD update? MShoap13
Yep, increased load times and stuttering have been noticed by plenty of people on the Official HD texture DLC. There's not a whole lot you can do about the load times outside of grabbing an SSD. Stuttering is prevalent if you've got user created HD texture packs and the Official pack running at the same time. The game takes a little longer to pick the right texture to display. I ran across a mod on here the other day that included a detailed step by step on how to reduce the stuttering by manually deleting conflicting textures one at a time. It's a long and tedious process but the author of the mod felt is was well worth the time and effort.

Im willing to try anything to help it run better. I just spent $500 on new video card, and the chip cooler to help, and it hasn't done much sorry to say. (fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu) The other packs im using are the Floral Overhal lite, better water graphics, and better NPC clothing. Guess I just have to get out the old credit card and do some more damage damn it.
MShoap13
I couldn't find it with the search function as I don't remember the name, but it's from the past two or three days if you want to scour the recent mods. Also, unless you've set up the HD .bsa's to run via the .ini instead of through their plugins, most of your user created HD textures are being preceded by the official DLC. This trick is detailed in multiple places including the mod I previously mentioned. Edited February 14, 2012 by MShoap13
