How to attach a video to a mod? (not as mod author)

Hi,

 

yesterday I linked a video on nexus and attached a mod to the video after searching on Google how to attach videos to mods when you are not the author (this was the only way I found). But the mod author stated to me that he didn't get a notification for the video. So did I something wrong? How to attach videos to mods? I don't find any information on that.

Edit: I tried to attach it one more time and now it worked. Don't know why it didn't work at first.
