MShoap13 Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) I'd start with ruling out your config files (Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini) by moving them to a temporary location and letting the game autogenerate new ones. If this doesn't help you still have your tweaked ones in the temporary location. From there I'd rule out supplemental items such as ENB, DragonScript, and SKSE (and all of it's plugins/mods that depend on it). If that doesn't help you'll have to move on to ruling out mods. The quickest way to go about this is to just turn off half or so of them at a time. If it fixes it, add half of the ones you just removed back in. If it doesn't, remove half of the half that are active. Repeat this until you can narrow it down to a specific mod. If turning off all of your plugins doesn't help try moving your \textures\ and \meshes\ folders to a temporary location. You could be running into issues with system memory due to too many replacer textures. If this is the case, start looking for lower res versions of your replacers as 4k and 2k textures are generally overkill (especially if you're running at 1920x1080 or 1920x1200) and usually don't provide any visual improvement in-game due to the mip mapping algorithm choosing the 1k version and upscaling it in almost all circumstances anyways. Unfortunately, the 2k versions of textures still eat ~4x the system RAM as a 1k texture (and another 4x for 4k textures) as the game preloads the texture file with all of its mip maps at one time. Thanks a tun for the help, going to have to give this a shot later today, need to sleep and work heh. I don't have enb or dragonscript so thats at least 2 things. Strange, the game was running perfect with skyboost and 1.3, soon as I went to 1.4 I can't visity ANY city. Its strange because I will fast travel to a city and it will freeze after 3 seconds.
