mgbeach
If cgcookie got you to this point with modeling, then I'm going to check it out. Just downloaded Blender. thanks for the tip. I third the no eyed worshipers idea! Very cool stuff. As for the lip sync, I think it would be fine to have them communicate telepathically. Have a booming, resonant, disembodied voice like the way some things already communicate in the game would make them even more intimidating and unearthly. frakle
I think a good name for it would be Aberrant Perceiver, or maybe something like Daedric Aberration or Daedric Perceiver

Kalva
I vote we name it Darius and call its species Daedric Heyedras.
Lovis
Oh, the actual critter to fight in the quest line will be called Xanathar as an hommage to the original Eye of the Beholder game ;) (or maybe Xanathor to avoid trademark issues). As for the name of the "species", I like the Daedric Perceiver or maybe it'll be Daedric Observer or Daedric Watcher.

It would make a quest line or dungeon more interesting to fight things with different types of powers and slightly different appearances.

Not unlike the Draugr "line" really... and I agree.. it adds depth...
Faitmaker
This will almost certainly affect your idea for the mod :( I'm sure it is a hump that will be gotten over but it is currently a hump nonetheless and affects anyone wanting to add new monsters.
