road texture issues - mud instead of snow

I've been having some sort of issues with the snowy roads, e.g the ones near winterhold and all of that. It's not game breaking, but it's ugly af

The stones of the road still have snow around them, but then between that and where the road ends, it's all mud

I've tried adding a road texture mod + a snow texture mod to see if one of those would override whatever this is, alas it made no difference

The only thing I can think of that would change this is that previously, I used a summer overhaul mod

Which didn't take well to being uninstalled, hence the overly green shrubs in this picture. Those, I can disable with console, so they're not that bad

If I disable the road, the whole area becomes snow, so the mud is definitely part of the road texture

Any ideas/solutions as to how to fix this?

(sorry about the awful image, I was freezing to death)

Did you make sure that there are no leftover files (meshes and textures) from the summer overhaul in your skyrim folder?

If there are still some, delete those. That might do it.

I did my best after uninstalling didn't go great; I managed to get rid of most of the remnants, but evidently I couldn't get rid of all of it. That's kind of the problem, I guess. I don't know how to tell which files are from this mod, since they seem to get be filtered in with everything else (no clear mod folder under textures/meshes like a lot of mods have)

I have looked up the mesh and textures for you.
The mesh is in the following folder:
Data > Meshes > Landscape > Roads > RoadStraight01.nif

I think though that the problem is the texture.
There are two folders in which you van find textures.
The folder which contains the ground texture of the road is the following.
Data > Textures > Landscape

One of the textures is Dirt02, but the ones that might pose the problem are the ones with 'snow' in the name.

The texture of the stones is located in the following folder:

Data > Textures > Landscape > Roads

Again, I think you will need the textures with 'snow' in their name.

If there are any texture files with 'snow' in their name in these folders, then you can try to delete them and see if it helps. If you still have mods installed that change the snow textures, you might want to make a backup before trying.

edit: as for the plants, I don't know which plants those are. They seem to have a different mesh than the vanilla Skyrim ones as well, since I can't find ferns in the Winderhold area. The problem there is thus likely to do with a texture.

Thanks for the help, had to mess around with the files and reinstall some textures & stuff but it worked out in the end. Thanks again!

With the plants, I'm pretty sure that those were added in by the mod as a whole. If I start a new save file sometime, I'll find and remove the files adding them, but in my game at the moment I've disabled a lot of them anyway so I'm not too bothered
