Bernt
For some reason I suddenly cannot build any defenses in my settlements. It simply doesn't show up. All the other tabs - including SOE, Homemeaker etc are still up and working. I've tried uninstalling the latest mods to no avail. I have NOT - yet- tried verifying my game cache. That would mean updating my game which I am not too keen on. Last time I had to start all over with new characters. Right now playing at 1.87, Steam offline and thus no forced updates.Any ideas - apart from verifying........Edit - No problem updating. Seemingly a mod gone awry. Tedious work
snapper69
Is it completely missing or is there a space where it should be? If the latter, try clicking on the space, when one of my tabs disappeared that worked for me. I seem to recall that there was a thread on here, (some time ago) about missing tabs, I think that it was due to having too many categories, but I can't be sure. I found the thread that I was thinking of , but it was the furniture tab that was missing. There may be something to help you. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=
Bernt
Thank you Snapper  It was completely missing. No space. The culprit turned out to be SKE-Independent. I don't know why, but I've narrowed it down to that one which I guess I'll have to do without. Just a minor inconvenience. On the bright side is that my game is fully updated now. Though - knowing Bethsofts patches- I'm not sure if that is good or bad
snapper69
Mine was so broken that I stopped playing, deleted all the mods and, hen I get chance, I'm going to uninstall everything else including NMM and start again. I've been playing a bit of Mass Effect Andromeda and I'm considering , buying Prey, so it may not be anytime soon.
DJFrosted
if you search "fix" i think it's called on the bethesda browser for mods. it fixes all the menu issues. just follow the instructions. i forget the name exactly. its "Fix! Final" something like that.
snapper69
Mine was broken by "Don't Call Me Settler" (allegedly) and the only cure for that is to restart (allegedly). I'll try to be a bit more circumspect with my mods next time.
MightyZ0G
apparently there is a way of fixing DCMS script errors but I can't remember exactly where I saw it.I know it was something to do with the save cleaner available on the Nexus. from what I remember, you can leave DCMS enabled after as long as you don't use any of the extra scripted functions of DCMS like burning bodies
DarkFigures
Hey, I know it's been 3 years so I have no idea if you will actually see this, but it's worth trying anyway. My defense tab is missing as well, I have tried disabling every single mod, though that didn't fix the issue. I also tried verifying my game cache, which did nothing. I really can't find much information or other instances where people had this same issue. I figured I should post this just so that other people know they may not be the only one having an issue with this when they inevitably google search it like I did. Not really sure what to ask since I'm just completely lost. Edit: I used the "Settlement Menu Rescue" option that came with the Settlement Menu Manager mod! Hopefully anyone who stumbles across this thread can use this information! Guest deleted34304850
download and install settlement menu manager and run the menu rescue utility to correct it. also, don't just remove mods from your load order that change the menu. if you want to remove such mods, start a new game. instyne49
There is a mod on Nexus called the " Workshop missing menu tabs fix " Check it out, and follow the directions exactly. Should have you up and running correctly.
