Custom Summoned Minion issues

I have two questions on custom NPCs and summoning them.

 

Q1: I have managed to figure out how to make my own custom summon tomes, and I've made three so far, but only two of them fight where one just nudges the enemy constantly like an annoying gnat. I have copied everything from that creature's original NPC (Magic Anomaly), and I set the summon flag and NPC relations so that it is the same as the summoned Familiar. I did the same with a Bear and a Manakin (don't ask, I wanted to do it), and they work, yet I cannot make my Magic Anomaly summon fight with me. If it pushed them off cliffs, I wouldn't mind, but it just floats around with annoying sound effects or nudges the enemy without them really doing anything.

 

How can I make my summoned Anomaly fight like the regular Anomalies do? They use the same sounds and fighting style as an Ice Wraith.

 

 

Q2: The Familar had a unique glow effect to it, giving it that spectral appearance. While it is a fun effect for summons, I wanted to use other shaders. Only problem is that I cannot find any shaders that change the appearances, other than the one that summoned Familiars have! Specifically, I want to get the red glow that Kodlak's Beast Spirit has (red familiar, TOTALLY unique color, hurr durr), but inspecting the npc yields no spell that gives it that glow. What spells or shaders provide the red glow? How can I make custom shaders?
