mechatech
I'm using Firefox 10.0.1 and I cannot download from any Nexus site. The browser locks and crashes every time. Firefox's download window opens but it shows time remaining as unknown with the progress bar frozen then the browser locks. I tried Firefox in safe mode to no effect. The file itself is in my folder but is corrupted. I have to use a utility to break Firefox's control over it so I can delete it. However I have no problems with IE. What might have happened? bben46
I use Firefox, Waterfox (a 64 bit version of FF) Chrome, Comodo Dragon, Sandboxie and very rarely IE. I have no problems using any of these to download mods from The Nexus. Firefox has the capability to be modified by add ons. And there are thousand of them available. Most work fine, I use a dozen myself. Suggestion, Try the portable version of FF without any add ons. This will not change your installed version at all, and can be run from a USB stick. Here is a clean source for downloading it. http://majorgeeks.com/Mozilla_Firefox_Portable_d4424.html

bben46
FF has an option to clean out the history on exit. This may even speed things up a bit.
