Armor Texture Issue, could use a little help

Ok so I created a new texture for the dragonscale armor, then decided I wanted it to be a standalone, so I ran it through the CK. Now here's the problem, it looks like it should in the crafting menu in game, but when I craft it and put it on my character, it looks like the default armor. I have the texture paths aligned correctly, is there anything more I need to do? Sorry, I am incredibly new at all this. Help Appreciated :)

You need to make copies of and alter the texture paths in three different .nif files. The _0.nif (smallest body type) the _1.nif (largest body type) and the go.nif/gnd.nif (inventory/ground mesh).

OK so i totally f*ckd this up lol, I am really bad at this, but I can't find a tutorial anywhere online. If someone would be so kind as to tell me how to alter the texture paths in the .nif files that would be amazing, because it only lets me edit one mesh path from the armor in the creation kit editor. Sorry again for stupid questions :'( but its so much fun to mod.
