Looking to convert Death's Scythe to a Mage's staff (probably Unfettered Claw), How would I do this?

As the title says I'd like to change the model of the Unfettered Claw into Death's Scythe but I'm new to modding Capcom game, and modding in general. So basically...how would I do this?
