donniemunro
First let me say that I'm incredibly grateful for the huge amount of work modders have put in to make my 190+ hours in Skyrim so immersive and enjoyable. I've installed every hi-res texture pack going - at the highest resolutions. The only reason I'm tempted to install the Bethesda HR pack is because there are still some low-res textures in the game that stick out like a sore thumb at times. But I really don't want to overwrite (and therefore undo) the stuff you've all worked so hard on just to improve a few textures. I've no idea if this is possible, but here's what I'd like... The Bethesda HR pack to be converted to a standard mod that I can install with the Nexus Mod Manager. Then, when I activate the mod I can choose not to overwrite the textures I already use. It sounds simple, but can it be done? And thanks again to all you people who've turned a blurry console game into a stunning world that makes spending a fortune on my PC worth every penny (or cent). revenile
Actually the bethesda High res pack IS a standard mod, you install it and check it's 2 esp files to activate it, although it's not as spectacular as bethsoft wants you to believe, some objects like rugs and tables are easily noticed, things like walls, not so much. Just so I'm clear, are you saying that during activation it'll ask whether to overwrite existing files folder by folder?
revenile
No, you just download it on steam, and activate the two esp files in the data section (or from the NMM) and away you go, it doesn't overwrite anything.
